Fukitsuna is Back (By Popular Demand?)
Fri Mar 29, 2019 1:07 am
HELLO EVERYBODY!
I want to first and foremost like to welcome everyone to the Fukitsuna Role-Playing Forum, and for those of you who are returning members after all these years, welcome back! A recent decision has been made that Fukitsuna / Sinister Seven will get another installment. To some, this may be coming to you as a surprise as much of the information has been decided rather sudden, though, we are anxious to get this going once more and give it one last go!
A lot of you returning members have been down this road before, a repeated role-play with somewhat the same results. Well this go around, we are looking to change that outcome and really build a story that is hard hitting, interactive with the players within the game and really try to make it the best role-playing game we all know it to be. Fukitsuna and Sinister Seven have been such amazing role-playing games, and an experience for everyone involved. We have gained many friends, lost many friends and had some good laughs (and a few fights) along the way. Though, despite the negative and in-light of the positive pasts we have had with this role-playing game, one thing is always true no matter the circumstances. We. Always. Come. Back and with each new installment, we only get better and better.
While the role-playing game is NOT quite ready for members to start posting, we are getting the structure taken care of so that members may get a better understanding of what is going on and not get overwhelmed right from the get go (The Scott Effect and we are hoping that with this new forum version, ModernBB it is seamless enough for members to not get lost with all the crazy designs and get lost throughout the navigation.
I couldn't count how many times we have had to redo the structure because of navigation....
While im remonicing, I want to relfect on the amount of times we have tried our hand at Fukitsuna and Sinister Seven.
Now don't mistaken this for complaining, I just want to look back and see what we have done in the past with the role-play, and what we are going to build upon to ensure that the same mistakes of previous installments won't happen this go-around and how we are striving to make this classic role-playing game stay in it's lime-light and ensure that members are getting the BEST possible role-playing experience they can have on a forum (and outside of IMVU- HUE HUE) so let's look back.
Inside Scott's Thought Bubble
Austin first introduced me to the Sinister Seven in 2015, yeah do you remember that year? I sure as heck don't.
When he was telling me what was going on, I thought about a samurai role-playing game on IMVU and sort of laughed at the idea, but I heard him out.
He went on explaining how everyone was so involved, how the activity was outragous and the amount of people that would come in and out of the room was awesome for a IMVU role-playing game.
He asked me if I wanted to join.
I said specifically said, "Can I be a robot?"
And he told me, if I can make it work, I can make it happen.
Sure enough, I thought of ROOK and the rest is history (no pun intended
The first time stepping into the Sinister Seven Temple on IMVU was something that I won't forget.
It was an awesome room, cherry blossoms, lack of seats, standing notes and maybe a little bit of lag for the laptop I had back then, but nonetheless, amazing.
Everyone was so welcoming, it is where I met many of the friends I have now, Jen, Johnny, Dylan, Phil, many of you that I have became close friends ALL BECAUSE OF A ROLEPLAYING GAME. It was at that minute I knew I was going to be hooked.
Fast Forward
The first installment of a Sinister Seven Forum was in 2016, another year I faintly remember even existing.
At this point in time I was trying to convince Austin the benefits of role-playing on a forum, and he heard me out.
Soon enough, it was made.
It was so god awful looking, but we all loved it.
I remember staying up for hours in the evening wondering if I would ever get these codes working and if this prolonged typing would later lead to late-life wrist issues, but there was no time to think about that because we had Shogun to hunt down and whatnot.
Fast Foward
The forum ended up busting, but we came back. Then back again, then back again and back again.
A total of six forums were made, fifty-two Google Docs, three Google Groups, Three IMVU Forum Groups and one Windows Movie Maker to add on.
Then finally, Fukitsuna made it here.
And I couldn't be happier.
BUT ANYWAYS.
We are starting small, and hopefully, going to build into something that we can all remember and have fun with.
I am so happy to have this role-playing game back, I have had a personally great time with this throughout the years and couldn't thank Austin enough for having the wonderful idea.
But with that being said, I hope you are all as excited as I am.
Let's bring this classic back.
Thank you, everyone.
